Mufti Mohammad Farhan, PhD.

Trustee & Chairperson

Mufti Farhan is raised and completed his initial education and High School in New York.

He pursued his education for 8 years in Islamic studies, in which, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Islamic Sciences, specializing in Hadith studies. He then accomplished a Masters in Islamic Theology, and PhD in Islamic Jurisprudence and Law, from Binoria International University, Pakistan. He is also specialized in Islamic Economics and Finance.

He is currently the Co-founder & President of Children of Adam, as well as the:

  • Executive Director of Islamic Center of Long Island (ICLI) Westbury, NY.
  • Spiritual advisor for Islamic Affairs for Muslims on Long Island, Inc. (Masjid Al-Baqi).
  • Consultant for the Islamic Center of South Shore, Valley Stream, Long Island (Masjid Hamza).

For more than a decade, he has worked on the following initiatives for the youth:

  • Promote confidence, self-esteem and the ability to set and achieve goals for the youth through the directives of Islam.
  • Create dedication to the principles of positive and effective youth development.
  • Provide platform and resources to ensure quality and core competencies for youth development and community leadership.
  • Develop confidence that youth shall grow up in a healthy, substance/abuse-free environment and be a productive member of crime-free society.
  • Expand the youth horizon to achieve high academic status, be physically/mentally fit and become culturally sound.
  • Equip youth to get education and meet the skills required to be a member in the 21st century workforce.
  • Ensure the youth has programs and/or places available to them that provide a safe and well guided environment.
  • Enable youth to encounter a positive experience as a result of the programs.
  • Strive that youth are leaving the programs and events better off than they were before they attended them.
  • Assess individual needs for appropriate assistance.
  • Collect and Analyze statistical data on youth to better utilize them in appropriate activities.
  • Refer youth to places in which they can go to receive guidance in a safe environment.
  • Design training seminars, retreats, conventions and diverse programs to enhance the development of youth.
  • Offer workshops to educate youth in the fields of religion, academics as well as carriers and professions.
  • Inspire youth by providing learning opportunities to increase and expand Islamic knowledge to enhance positive personality characteristics and skills.
  • Compile inter-faith programs for youths to enhance in learning and teaching about the different religions and cultures.

Dr Syed Tariq Ibrahim,

Trustee & President

Dr. Syed Tariq Ibrahim, M.D. pursued his advanced education at Dow Medical College in Pakistan where he earned his M.B.B.S. Over the years, he has served as the Medical Director and Attending Psychiatrist at various hospitals and medical facilities across the eastern United States.

As a physician, he is especially passionate about mental health and psychiatry. He brings that focus to Children of Adam, as he spearheads various health and wellness initiatives and youth counseling and mentorship programs.

Dr. Shaik Ali

Trustee & Vice President

Dr. Shaik Ali is a diligent and engaging internist and cardiologist serving the communities of South Richmond Hill and Hicksville in New York. Dr. Ali earned his medical degree from the Rangaraya Medical College in India. He accomplished both his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Cardiology at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York. Dr. Ali is certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

In addition to his private medical practice, Dr. Ali also founded and serves as President of the New York State Elite Accountable Care Organization, which represents over 120 doctors in New York. He also holds admitting privileges at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, the Lenox Hill Hospital, and the Mercy Medical Center. As a result, he is the proud recipient of a community service award from Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s office in City Hall.

Syed Wasim Quadri, CPA

Trustee & Global Chief - Humanitarian Relief

Br. Quadri attended Wagner and later, Baruch College, both in New York City, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He has over 3 decades of experience in consulting in finance.

As the Treasurer at Children of Adam, Br. Quadri’s expertise allows CoA to maintain excellent financial management with exceptional allocation of donor funds and resource allocation, ensuring the greatest beneficiary impact and long-term success of the organization.

Collaborations

By collaborating with other NGOs and organizations, we are able to expand our reach and make a greater impact in the communities we serve. We receive additional support & humanitarian engagement opportunities from our Global Operations team, comprised of:

In the US, we work with various local mosques and community centers, youth groups, and social, civil, welfare and interfaith organizations.

Internationally, we coordinate with organizations such as:

  • OBAT Helpers (Bangladesh)
  • Hamdard Welfare Relief, Inc (Afghanistan)
  • Children of Adam (Pakistan)
